Our AI policy

How we use AI.

AI drafts and builds; we review, decide and sign off. Here's how that works, and how we look after your information along the way.

How we work

AI helps us build. People sign it off.

We use AI tools throughout our work: to plan, write code, draft copy and test sites. It's a big part of how a small team like ours builds quickly and keeps costs down.

AI drafts and builds; we review, decide and sign off. This means that nothing goes live on your site without one of us checking it first, including the facts, names and figures in the copy.

Your information

How we look after your information.

(01) · Training

Your content isn't used to train AI.

The AI tools we use for client work are on company accounts, set so that what we give them isn't used to train their models.

(02) · Privacy

We keep personal information out.

We don't put personal information about your supporters, clients, donors, or the people and children you work with into AI tools. Where a site handles personal information (a donation form, say), we build and test it with made-up data.

(03) · Purpose

We only use what the project needs.

Briefs, brand files and page content are used for your project and nothing else, and we keep them only as long as the work needs them.

(04) · Your rules

We follow your rules.

If your organisation has its own AI or privacy policy, it takes priority over this one. Tell us and we'll work to it.

(05) · People

No AI images of real people.

We don't use AI to create images of real people, or to stand in for the people you serve.

What's yours

You own what we make.

The code, design and content we build for you are yours forever.

If you'd like to know which tools we use, or how we'd handle something specific to your organisation, email [email protected].
